Dominique Hebrard founded his trading company in 1983, in parallel with his position at the helm of the prestigious Château Cheval Blanc until 1999.
His first offices were opened in a narrow street in Saint Emilion, where the company came into existence as a retail boutique.
Its rapid growth forced the firm to move twice, however, to ever-larger and more functional premises.
Today Maison Hebrard has finally settled in a particularly delightful site on the banks of the Isle River in Fronsac, and employs 20 staff, of whom 16 work in this magnificent stone building looking across to the Old Tower in Libourne.
The wines of Maison Hebrard (1.2 million bottles) are warehoused in excellent conditions in Saint Loubès, 20 kilometres from Libourne, in a cool, insulated warehouse where 3 order preparation staff and a cellar manager work.
Today, Hebrard sells small château wines and Grands Crus Classés to over 70 countries: Grands Crus Classés represent 65% of sales, small châteaux 35%, and 90% of sales are to export markets, often far afield (Asia, Japan, United States, South America, Caribbean).
The remaining 10% of sales are in France to institutional clients, upmarket restaurants and professional wine merchants.
The sales team is entirely dedicated to Hebrard and its products, and is at your disposal to answer any questions you might have.
