The family involvement in wine dates back to 1832 when they bought the prestigious "Château Cheval Blanc", Premier Grand Cru Classe A in the Saint Emilion appellation.

165 years later, the family sold this Bordeaux jewel to an international group. For 25 years now, Maison Hebrard has striven to build and foster its ties with its loyal winegrowers and faithful customers and wine-lovers, always staying true to the spirit of the fine Bordeaux wine houses and the longstanding trading history of Libourne and its region.

Dominique Hebrard’s personal qualities of simplicity and warmth and the dynamic efforts of his sales team have combined to build a strong network of relations in this region blessed by the gods.

Hebrard is renowned as a specialist in Grands Crus Classés and for its selection of Bordeaux châteaux with a very special history. Dominique oversees the technical side of the winemaking process on some of these estates.

Each and every choice the technical teams make is based on strict quality criteria, the personality of the owners and adapting to market requirements.

Our philosophy is based on the application of a set of specifications covering vine-growing, winemaking and maturing, and requiring regular supervision in the field. We demand the most meticulous approach of our winegrowers in order to get top-quality grapes based on traceability and sustainable growing methods.

Our “top-level” experience on our Grands Crus helps us to make wines of great balance and charm, fruit, elegance and finesse.

Finally, we are involved in a number of “signature” projects with leading Bordeaux winegrowing names to guarantee credibility in terms of quality on our markets.
